Today, we proudly send off three of our own as they embark on the Police Unity Tour.

Lieutenant Nash, Patrolman Moreno, and Patrolman Baker are representing the Wall Township Police Department as they ride to honor the memory of fallen law enforcement officers and raise awareness about those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Police Unity Tour is more than a ride—it’s a powerful reminder of the strength and solidarity within the law enforcement community. We thank Lt. Nash, Ptl. Moreno, and Ptl. Baker for their dedication, and we wish them a safe and meaningful journey.

In Loving Memory of Lieutenant Ronald Jennings #66 (Ret.)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Retired Lieutenant Ronald Ron Jennings, a lifelong resident of Wall Township, who dedicated his life to the service of his community and country.

Lt. Jennings proudly served in the United States Army before joining the Wall Township Police Department in 1974. Over the course of a distinguished career, he rose to the rank of lieutenant and was a steadfast leader within the department. Among his many notable contributions, Lt. Jennings led a team of Wall Township Police officers who responded to Ground Zero in the aftermath of the September 11th terror attacks—an act of his unwavering courage and dedication.

After retiring from the Wall Township Police Department in 2002, Lt. Jennings continued his commitment to public service as an agent with the Homeland Security unit of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, where he served until the time of his passing.

Lt. Jennings’ legacy of service lives on through his son, Eric, who is currently a lieutenant with the Wall Township Police Department and continues to embody the leadership and integrity his father was well known for.

Ron Jennings is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Roxie; his daughter Lauren and her husband Billy; his son Eric and wife Catharina; and his cherished grandchildren, Will, Sammi, Reese, and Charleigh—who were the joy of his life.

Ron was known for his smile, infectious laugh, and calm demeanor, but most of all he loved his family. Lt. Ron Jennings will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and the community he so honorably served. His legacy of service, strength, and kindness will never be forgotten.

Rest easy #66, well take it from here.
