Wall Police Attend Service and Leadership Academy at Wall High School

On Wednesday, January 9, 2019 Wall Township Police Sergeant Vincent Mazzaccaro and Sergeant Andrew Baldino participated in the quarterly board meeting for the Service and Leadership Academy at the Wall Township High School. The Service and Leadership Academy prepares students for a career in the field of service and leadership including, but not limited to, public safety, public service, government, education, and military.   A number of these students are part of the Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) which includes a specific course curriculum similar to an ROTC program and can assist students with receiving college scholarships. A major part of the program is for students to accumulate 100 hours of community service per year.  The committee meets every three months to discuss upcoming community events taking place throughout town for the students to be part of.  The Wall Township Police Department continues to participate in these programs with the Wall Township Public Schools as part of the Wall Township Police Department’s Safe School Initiative.
