Wall Township Police Department “Operation Take Back New Jersey” a Success.
On Saturday, April 29, 2017, the Wall Township Police Department, in conjunction with the DEA, and with the full support of Mayor Dominick DiRocco and the Wall Township Committee, successfully participated in Operation Take Back. Residents from Wall Township and surrounding communities turned in over 36lbs of unused, unwanted, and/or expired medication into the drug disposal box located at Wall Township Police Headquarters. This box was later turned over to the DEA to dispose of the contents in accordance with DEA policy.
The Wall Township Police Department would like to remind its residents that there is also a permanent take back location at Wall Township Police Headquarters. Residents can safely dispose of their unused, unwanted, and/or expired medications 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in the prescription drug drop box located in the front lobby of Wall Township Police Department.
On April 26, 2017 Wall Township Mayor Dominick DiRocco and the Wall Township Committee issued an official Township of Wall Proclamation “Operation Take Back New Jersey” to declare their support for the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 29, 2017.
