Motor Vehicle Crash

On Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at approximately 7:47 a.m., the Wall Township Police Department responded to the intersection of Herbertsville Road and Easy Street the report of head on motor vehicle collision. The on scene investigation revealed that a 37 year old Point Pleasant woman was operating a 2016 BMW X5 and traveling west on Herbertsville Road. At this time, she attempted to make a left turn onto East Street southbound when she collided with a 2017 Ford CMA being operated by a 69 year old Jackson woman. The BMW X5 then rotated counter-clockwise and collided with 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The Hyundai Elantra was being operated by a 44 year old Brick woman who had been traveling west on Herbertsville Road. During the accident investigation, Herbertsville Road between Allenwood Lakewood Road and County Road 549 was closed for approximately one hour. There were no passengers in the vehicles and all three drivers reported non-life threatening injuries. They were transported to Ocean Medical Center by Wall Township Police EMS, Brick Township EMS and Howell Township EMS. South Wall Fire Rescue responded along with the Monmouth County Road Department to assist. The collision still remains under investigation.
