Wall Township Police Re-Accreditation

Wall Township Police Re-Accreditation

On Wednesday, July 25, 2018 the Wall Township Police Department received their second re-accreditation certification from the New Jersey State Association of the Chiefs of Police.  Captain (ret.) Harry J. Delgado of the New Jersey State Association of the Chiefs of Police presented the certificate of re-accreditation to Chief Kenneth Brown Jr.  During the presentation, Captain Delgado stated that less than one percent of law enforcement agencies in the State of New Jersey have received re-accreditation status for the second time.  The Wall Township Police Department has been a recognized accredited Law Enforcement Organization since 2009.

Accreditation is a progress and time-proven method of assisting law enforcement agencies to calculate and improve their overall performance. The foundation of accreditation lies in the adoption of standards containing a clear statement of professional objectives.  The Wall Township Police Department conducted a thorough self-analysis to determine how existing operations can be adapted to meet the standards and objectives. Once the procedures were in place, a team of trained, independent assessors verifies that the applicable standards have successfully been implemented.
