On Thursday, December 6, 2018 at approximately 5:02 p.m., Patrolman Tim Margadonna and Patrolman Shane Roland arrested Anthony Miccio, 30 years old, Islip, N.Y. and Ashley Schroko, 23 years old, Huntington, N.Y., for possession of marijuana under fifty grams, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on New Bedford Road near State Highway #138. After their arrest, a follow up investigation was conducted at 1916 State Highway #35 that resulted in the following additional charges for Miccio and Schroko:
- possession of handgun
- possession of a handgun while distributing a controlled dangerous substance
- possession of crack cocaine
- possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
- possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- possession of a defaced firearm
- certain person not to possess a firearm
- possession of hollow point ammunition
- possession of stolen credit cards
Miccio was also charged with terroristic threats against a law enforcement officer. After arrest processing, Miccio and Schroko were transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute.
