COVID-19 Response

WALL TOWNSHIP MAINTAINS STATE OF READINESS AND ENCOURAGES CITIZEN AWARENESS REGARDING CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19

WALL TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY – The Township of Wall continues readiness efforts for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and any potential effects on the community.  Citizens are encouraged to utilize available resources to maintain awareness and to observe healthy practices.

Being properly informed and following proper hygiene and hand washing techniques is important. We can all play a vital role in curtailing the spread of the virus with simple steps.

The Wall OEM is working closely with Mayor George Newberry, township officials, department heads, first responders, County, State, and Federal agencies including the NJ State Department of Health (NJDOH) which has opened a public information line to answer questions about the situation.  Those with questions may call 1-800-222-1222.

We will continue to work closely with our community partners and government agencies to prepare for any local public health response.

Citizens are encouraged to follow healthy practices, including:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (only if soap and water are not available).
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Avoid contact with sick people.
  • Avoid non-essential travel.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) continually update online information regarding COVID-19.
