On Thursday March 18, 2021 at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Wall Township Police Department responded to the ramp from Hwy. 34 south to Hwy. #195 west for a report of an overturned tractor trailer. The on scene investigation revealed that a 33 year old Bellmawr man was operating a 2003 Freightliner truck, with a trailer attached filled with residential waste, on the ramp from Hwy. #34 south to Hwy. #195 west. At this time, he failed to properly negotiate the ramp resulting in the truck and trailer overturning onto its side. The driver reported a non-life threatening injury and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Wall Police EMS. The ramps from Hwy. #34 south to Hwy. #195 west and from Hwy. #138 west to Hwy. #34 south were both closed for approximately four hours until the scene was cleared. The State Department of Transportation and Glendola Fire Department both responded to the scene and assisted. The driver was issued a motor vehicle summonses for careless driving.
