The Southern Monmouth County area has recently seen a significant increase in vehicle burglaries and thefts. The Wall Township Police Department would like to urge residents to make sure they remove key fobs, personal items, and ensure their vehicles are locked when parked outside their homes. Residents are also reminded to secure their residences as well. The pattern of these crimes occurring during late evening and early morning hours has changed, we are now experiencing these thefts during daylight hours.
If a resident is witnessing a possible vehicle theft or break-in, they should immediately call 911 or the Wall Township Police Department at (732) 449-4500. Residents are cautioned not to confront the suspects but be able to provide the address or location of the incident, description of the actors, vehicle description, license plate number and direction of travel.
