2022 L.E.A.D. Graduation

On Friday, May 6th, Monday, May 9th, and Tuesday, May 10th members of The Wall Township Police Department held L.E.A.D. graduation picnics at the Oak Tree Lodge for all 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students at Wall schools.  The graduation picnics are a fun way to celebrate the completion of the L.E.A.D. program and affords our officers the time to run around and interact with the students.  At the end of the event, all classes competed for the coveted Tug-O-War trophy for best class / homeroom.

The Wall Township Police Department, in partnership with Wall Township Public Schools, has been conducting the L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) program at the elementary schools in Wall Township for the past five years to protect our youth and community from the proliferation of drugs, drug related crimes, peer to peer cyber bullying and violence.  The program was extended this year to include the 6th and 7th grade classes who missed this important program due to COVID restrictions.  The L.E.A.D. program is just one of many collaborative efforts between the Wall Township Police Department and the Wall Township Public Schools to provide a safe and drug free environment for our children. Mayor Kevin Orender and Committeeman Tom Kingman also stopped by to congratulate our graduating classes and interact with the students.

We would like to recognize all our L.E.A.D. officers, who took the time to spend with our students including:  Ptl. Fred Sprengel, Det. Ty Hughes, Ptl. David Smithman, Ptl. Karleigh Cacciatore, Ptl. Justin Hudson, Ptl. Frank Kuhl, Ptl. Mike Cacciatore, Ptl. Orin McKay, Ptl. Kevin Wagner, Ptl. Patrick Brady, and Det. Steve Swenson.
