Wall Township Police Knock and Rap Program
The “Knock & Rap” program relies on the neighborhood residents to identify habitual traffic violators, obtain the vehicle’s license plate number and report the violation to the police department. Residents’ anonymity is maintained. The registered owner of the vehicle will be mailed a letter indicating the infraction and will be requested to call the Community Services Unit.
The police department strongly suggests that individual safety not be compromised at any time while obtaining or attempting to obtain vehicle license plate information.
When neighborhood streets have traffic calming measures in place vehicular speeds may be reduced and traffic safety will improve. The “Knock & Rap” program allows the police department to work in conjunction with neighborhood citizens to develop viable short term and long term solutions for their neighborhoods.
