The Wall Township Police Department would like to warn the public about grandparent scams that have been targeting our senior community. These particular scams involve phone calls to our seniors where the scammer will inform them that one of their family members was recently arrested and in need of bail money immediately or they will not be released. The scammer will then set up a way for the money to be wired or shipped to them or sometimes will show up in person to collect the alleged bail money. If this happens to you or someone you know or has happened in the past but has not yet been reported then immediately contact the Wall Township Police Department at 732-449-4500.
