How to Get Records

Most records can be obtained without the need to come to the police station.  Read below how to acquire a record from home.

ACCIDENT REPORTS

Accident Reports – Usually available 7-10 days after the date of the accident

Email your request to records@wallpolice.org. Include case number, names, date and time of accident to  assist in locating the correct report.  Please include a phone number for us to get in contact with you
should any questions arise.

POLICE REPORTS

Please email any requests for police reports to records@wallpolice.org.  You must provide your name, address, type of report you are requesting (Theft, Criminal Mischief).  You must have a vested interest in the report, such as being a victim or needing it for insurance purposes.  You must also provide a phone number for us to reach you at as we will follow up with a phone call to explain what documents we need to see to ensure confidentiality.  This will require you emailing a copy of identification to prove you are entitled to the report.  Providing you are entitled to the report, it will then be emailed to you, and will have required redactions of personal information.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE REPORTS ARE CONSIDERED PRIVATE UNDER NJ STATE LAW 2C:25-33,
“PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ACT OF 1991”.  If you need a copy of Domestic Violence
reports for Court purposes only, email your request to records@wallpolice.org.
