Mental Health Telephone Support Available During COVID-19 Outbreak
The NJ Mental Health Cares helpline offers support to individuals experiencing anxiety and worry related to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
 
Life as we know it has shifted dramatically due to the virus and the social distancing and self-isolation practices that have been implemented to reduce exposure. But the entire situation may cause New Jersey residents to suffer a mental health crisis.
 
New Jersey Mental Health Cares is offering assistance. New Jerseyans can get support, talk to someone or get referrals by calling 1-866-202-HELP (4357). NJ Mental Health Cares will be answered from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week by live trained specialists.
 
The public may also call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
 
It is important to pay attention to one’s mental and emotional well-being, along with physical health.
