On Tuesday, June 30, 2020 the Wall Township Police Department conducted a “Bike Rodeo” for the neighborhood children in the Stone Brook Development as part of our community policing initiative. During the Bike Rodeo, our bike patrol officers educated the children on the following topics: bike mechanics, helmet fitting and rules of the road. After this instruction, the officers provided additional direction on a safety course designed to improve their ability to perform safety maneuvers through a pattern of traffic cones. The Bike Rodeo concluded with the officers escorting the children on a bike ride through their neighborhood to see their progress.
