Wall Police Attends Alice Training

Wall Township Police Officers and Wall Township Board of Education staff members recently attended ALICE training at Wall Township Police Department and received their certifications to become ALICE training instructors. ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate and is useful strategy for everyone: law enforcement, schools, universities, hospitals, businesses and places of worship. The two-day instructor course teaches proactive survival strategies for violent intruder or active shooter incidents. The goal of the ALICE Program is to provide individuals with survival enhancing options for those critical moments in the gap between when a violent situation begins and when law enforcement arrives on scene. This training is a research based proactive approach to responding to an active shooter situation which authorizes and empowers those engaged in such an event to utilize existing building infrastructure, technology, and human action to increase their chance of survival.

ALICE Instructor attendees pictured below from left to right are:
Sgt. Mike Tozer, Wall High School Assistant Principal Kevin Davis
Wall High School Security Officer Mike Textor, Ptl. Scott Fifield, Ptl. Pat Brady and Ptl. Kevin Wagner.
