WALL TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS AND COVID-19
As we all prepare and take precautions regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) rest assured that the Wall Township Police Department will continue to serve its residents, as well as those that visit and travel through the Township. The Wall Township Police Department will be taking precautionary measures to minimize the potential exposure to our police officers, staff and the public. Some of the precautionary measures are as follows:
- When medical assistance is needed, the police dispatcher will be asking specific questions regarding the patient’s recent travel, symptoms and medical history. These questions are necessary to prepare the first responders and ensure they take necessary precautionary measures.
- Calls for service that are minor in nature and do not necessarily require an immediate emergency response may be handled by an officer contacting the caller and gathering information related to the incident; if necessary the officer will respond to the location of the incident.
- The Wall Township Police Department Records Bureau will remain open during normal business hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, we strongly encourage all records requests be made by phone to the records bureau at 732-449-4500 ext. 1400 or online by visiting wallpolice.org/opra.
- If a person needs to make or file a non-emergent report please call 732-449-4500 prior to coming to Wall Township Police Headquarters. All emergencies should be reported to 911.
- Wall Township Municipal Court sessions are suspended until Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Payments to Wall Township Municipal Court can be made at NJMCdirect.com
Please continue to follow all precautionary measures indicated by the CDC at www.cdc.gov and the New Jersey State Department of Health at www.nj.gov./health, and www.wallpolice.org. Please limit your exposure to crowds, check on the elderly and your neighbors and most importantly remain calm.
The Wall Township Police Department will continue to work with the Office of Emergency Management, the Mayor and Township Committee, Township Administrator, First Aid and Fire Departments and the County, State and Federal Officials to ensure the safety and security of our community.
